Hey… I’m Jay, I’m 24 and live in a small village in the Cotswolds. I’m a keen cyclist; recently taking things a bit more seriously as I ingress into road racing.
I am a full-time engineer working as a machinist.
I started cycling just a couple years ago, having no idea what I was doing. I would steal my dads bike, wearing board short and a t-shirt, heading off on my long 10 mile adventure.
Little did I know within a matter of months I would be selling my motorbike to buy a road bike, wearing lycra and shaving my legs. My petrol head friends were questioning my sanity.
So… what started this new found love of expensive bikes, tight fitting clothing and a hairless body? Two years ago I smoked, drank and ate crap. I was 80kg and unfit. I never really wanted to be this way. Joining gyms, quickly leaving them, I just couldn’t stick to anything.
Where am I now? Well I no longer smoke, very rarely drink and weigh a weedy 64kg. I’ve got my eyes set on big goals and I can’t wait to get my teeth into the 2016 season!
I’ve got a lot planned and wish to inspire people and keep you all updated on my experiences.
